It has been a while! I have been trying to find that post vacation motivation to jump back into writing blog posts and I MADE IT. When I was on vacation in Florida for the holidays, I wore faux leather shorts quite often. When I came back home to cold Boston, I decided I wanted to keep wearing them. So, here you can find three different ways to style faux leather shorts for winter! Keep reading below to check them out 🙂
Look 1 – Pair with a turtleneck, plaid blazer & knee high boots
This is my go to look for faux leather shorts. If you aren’t feeling the blazer, simply wear just the turtleneck. Turtlenecks are so stylish and will never go out of style! They are a closet staple for me, especially in white, cream and black.
A good knee high boot is also a closet staple. I know over the knee boots are currently having a moment but they are on trend and not classic, in my opinion. A knee high boot is a classic boot!
Blazers are another closet staple! No matter what, they will always be in style. I pair them with anything and everything!
My blazer is from Nordstrom last season. It is sold out, but I tried to find some others that you can shop below! Boots are from H&M. I sized down a half size. They are pretty good quality for the price. My shorts are from Express and run a bit big. I sized down. Turtleneck is from H&M which runs small. Size up.

Look 2 – Pair with a turtleneck, patent leather boots & faux fur jacket
I paired my faux leather shorts with the same black turtleneck as in the first look but threw a full length faux fur jacket over it and finished it off with patent leather booties!
I have wanted a full length faux fur coat forever and finally found one at a good price and grabbed it before it sold out! I am obsessed with this coat and it is SO WARM too. The length is great to keep your legs warm in the winter. It is also a great length when your’e wearing a midi dress. I hate when my dress is longer than my jacket. This is a closet staple piece.
Booties are so great with lots of pieces, especially these shorts. My tip for wearing booties and any shoe that covers your ankle is to only wear that type of shoe when your bottoms hit above your knee. Do not wear booties or ankle covering shoes when your skirt, dress, shorts, etc fall below your knee. If you do and you are petite like me, you will appear shorter than you are! Let those ankles be free!
My booties are from H&M and really good quality for the price! I went up a half size. My jacket is also from H&M.

Look 3 – Pair with a chunky knit sweater & knee high boots
I love pairing colors and I love wearing colors so when I saw these pink metallic boots, I had to have them! They are so fun and comfortable. Pink and purple pair so great together too.
I have worn this purple cable knit sweater so much this season. It is just one of those sweaters you can throw on with anything.
My sweater is from H&M. It runs true to size. My boots are from Macys and currently on sale. I sized up a half size.
