Spring is upon us as well as spring break! It is time or almost time to bust out those jean shorts! I don’t know about you but I am always on the hunt for the most comfortable jeans shorts. I wrote another blog post here highlighting all of my favorites! One pair that I constantly am asked about are the Agolde jean shorts. The Agolde jean shorts are pricey so are they worth it or not?? I have been eyeing Agolde jean shorts for years now after hearing everyone rave about them! I pulled the trigger this year and finally bought a pair! I bought the ones pictured in the top left hand corner above. They are the “Parker” denim shorts. They are pricey and the most expensive pair of shorts I own but in my opinion, they are worth it. If you are going to splurge on something, I always want it to fit good and be of good quality so it lasts. For me, these shorts hit both of my criteria.
The Fit
After reading lots and lots of reviews, I noticed everyone saying the “Parker” shorts run big. Sometimes I am between sizes so I ordered my normal size and a size down. I ended up keeping the pair I sized down in. My normal size was not huge on me but they do stretch as you wear them so at that point they would become way too big. A size down was a bit snug when first putting it on, but as they stretch as you wear them, they are a perfect fit.
Tip – Order a size down because they stretch out a little as you wear them
The Quality
If I am paying top price for an item of clothing or shoes, it better be good quality! Otherwise, what am I paying an arm and a leg for?! These Agolde jean shorts are good quality. You can feel it even before you put them on. Once on, you can tell they are a good denim quality. They are very soft too!
Overall – Great quality denim
The Length
The Parker Agolde shorts are a mix between high rise and mid rise. They are not super high but also not completely mid rise. They also have a shorter length. I am 5’3″ and the back of the shorts hit me right below my butt cheeks. I would prefer them a little longer but I love everything else about them so much that I had to keep them.
Overall – I would prefer them a little longer. If you are tall, they may be too short
Overall Thoughts
I love them and would totally buy again. I see exactly what all the hype is about! My next pair will be the high rise.
