I was super hesitant to buy a zebra print sweater. I was always a leopard sweater kind of gal and still am! I bought the zebra print sweater last fall and this zebra print sweater has become my most worn sweater ever! It is so fun to dress up or dress down! Keep reading to see how I styled my zebra print sweater 3 different ways!
Look 1 – Pair with colorful pants

These exact pants are from a few years back but I tried to find some similar ones! Since this sweater is pretty thick, I only tucked in the front!
Fashion Tips –
- If your zebra print sweater is a neutral color like mine, it goes with so much! A colored pant really makes the zebra print POP
- Not sure how to mix colors? An easy way to ease into colored pants is to pair them with a neutral top such as white, cream, beige, etc! Even though zebra might not feel “neutral”, this sweater totally is with the cream and brown!
- If wearing a slightly loose chunky knit and wanting to pair with a loose fitting pant, be sure to try to tuck in some of the sweater. Otherwise, on a petite frame, it can swallow you up and look messy! I just tucked in the front here.
- I highly recommend a silver pump! They will go with so much. Silver is one of those colors that pairs very easily and adds a pop! They are way more fun than a nude heel 🙂
Look 2 – Pair with faux leather pants and leopard heels

My exact faux leather pants are from last year but I found some other great options above!
FASHION TIPS –
- You cannot go wrong with faux leather pants. I highly recommend a pair. They go with pretty much anything, especially a zebra print sweater
- Pants that are high rise, cropped, straight, and “a casual fit” or “work pants fit” meaning fitted but not skin tight such as these pants are the type of pant that can be styled up or styled down. A pair of pants such as these could be worn to work, out to dinner with the girls, or even dressed down with sneakers. It is a very versatile fit. I like to call it the “work pants” fit.
- If wearing a slightly loose chunky knit and wanting to pair with a looser fitting pant, be sure to try to tuck in some of the sweater. Otherwise, on a petite frame, it can swallow you up and look messy! I just tucked in the front here! Tucking in too much will make the pants bulge and no one wants that!
- Mixing patterns is so fun. Both leopard and zebra fall into the “neutrals” category for me. Their coloring is all neutral colors and they pair nicely together without over doing it!
Look 3 – Pair with leopard pants

My leopard pants are from Zara, but I got them years ago! I found some other leopard pants above!
Fashion Tips –
- I know pattern mixing can be scary! But an easy trick to ease into it is to choose patterns of the same color family. Here, my sweater is white, cream, and light brown so I picked leopard print that was also the same brown color. (the browns are not exact, but close)
- My favorite fit of jeans is a high rise, straight leg, crop, with no stretch. Reasons for this is that they hug every curve and asset in a good way! Since no stretch jeans are thicker than stretch jeans, they hold everything in and together GREAT! Not to mention that a high rise jean will make the butt look more lifted!! My favorites are Levis jeans for this fit!
- Since my leopard jeans are fitted, I could have left the sweater untucked, however, I just prefer a front tucked look. Rule of thumb- if I was wearing loose pants with a loose sweater, tuck the front of the sweater in to give some definition to the look
- silver pumps act as a fun neutral shoe instead of your typical nude pump! They go with so much and add a fun pop!
